STUDENTS from Essex are descending on London today to try and stop the Government from introducing higher tuition fees.
About 500 students, from Essex Univeristy, Colchester Institute, Colchester Sixth Form College and other colleges, are travelling to join the mass protest.
The Government is proposing increased fees of up to £9,000 a year.
Colchester MP Bob Russell has confirmed he will not vote for the plan but refuses to state whether he will vote against or abstain.
Bernard Jenkin, MP for Harwich and North Essex, has confirmed he will be voting with the Government for the rise.
