I see Colchester High Street is to be closed on Sunday for what is being termed as the Winter Market.
Really, this is a Christmas market and I am not happy with the fact the council has given into political correctness and called it a Winter Market. In fact, although not a particularly religious person myself, I find it deeply offensive Christmas is being manipulated out of existence in a Christian country.
Please can we now give it its proper name, unless of course the stallholders are banned from selling Christmas- related items, in which case they need to be notified before Sunday!
