ANGER over the decision to bring in controversial education cuts and a hike in tuition fees could spell the end of Colchester MP Bob Russell’s career, say student leaders.

Despite the fact Mr Russell voted against the cuts during a parliamentary vote on Thursday, students have said his days are numbered.

However, Mr Russell said he blamed the Labour Party for introducing top-up fees back in 2006 and that he would still like to see them abolished completely when the economy was more stable.
