Having read about the scheme started in Brightlingsea to improve parking around the town, I have to let you know it has not improved one bit.

For the councillors to slap themselves on the back and trumpet how good it is, in my opinion, is completely wrong.

I have only ever seen one ticket on a van and never anybody patrolling the High Street.

Cars park on the yellow lines on both sides of Victoria Place, obscuring the view for drivers and pedestrians alike.

Trying to get out of Richard Avenue, you have to go right out into the middle of the road to see if it’s clear.

So, the good community of Tendring, don’t expect too much – just a lot of town hall hot air.
