I read that Colchester United’s Central shop is to close next month.

My friends and I feel it is very unfair on those who can’t get to the stadium before match days to buy merchandise and tickets in advance.

I understand the reason why it is closing is because not enough people are using it, but myself and others go into the store to buy tickets in advance or to buy Colchester United merchandise.

The store in town is more useful than the one at the stadium, which is only open on match days and is so far away from most fans.

It’s also useful for me as I can easily walk or take a short bus ride into town from school to go and get what I need.

We all enjoy going into the shop, as the staff are friendly and very helpful, and also we don’t have to travel far to meet the players and management team.

Also, I know of some people, including myself, who would like to do work experience at U’s Central as we are unable to do this at the stadium.

If they go ahead with the closure of U’s Central, is there any chance they could think about possibly opening a concession or kiosk somewhere in a store in the town centre?

Please, please rethink the closure of U’s Central, as it would be a great shame.
