Let’s see more speed cameras WE are all aware of the cuts we face due to the financial deficit this country has, but I think it could be paid off in months rather than years.

First, do away with every zebra crossing as, let’s face it, drivers hardly ever slow down and a lot don’t stop for them. If they do, a lot speed away while you are still halfway across, so replace them with lightcontrolled crossings and a camera to catch anyone who does not obey them.

Second, put up more speed cameras, not take them down, and catch all the drivers who think the speed limit is for everyone but them, and there are thousands of them.

Finally, put congestion charges in all major towns and cities.

All these measures would bring in billions of pounds and pay off the deficit with no problem.

No cuts would be needed and our roads and town and city centres would be a lot safer.
