Motorists faced delays in rush hour traffic after a multi-vehicle crash on a slip road.
A lorry and at least two cars were involved in a collision in Cymbeline Way, Colchester, at about 8.15am today.
Police closed the northbound slip road to deal with the crash, causing traffic to queue back to junction 26, Eight Ash Green.
Firefighters from Colchester Fire Station were also called to the scene.
It is not yet known whether anyone was injured.
