SHADOW Cabinet Minister Tessa Jowell will pay a visit to Colchester next month.
Ms Jowell, whose responsibilities include being shadow minister for the Olympics, will visit the AdiZone outdoor centre in Monkwick on Thursday, March 10.
She will then meet with voluntary sector staff, service users and volunteers at an informal gathering hosted by Colchester Community Voluntary Services.
Colchester Labour Party chairman Jordan Newell said: “Tessa Jowell joins a long and illustrious list of senior Labour figures to visit Colchester over the past few years. This is a very exciting visit which focuses on two major themes – volunteering and the Olympics – both of which I know Tessa takes a close interest in.”
