A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital following a collision on the A12.
The cyclist suffered leg injuries after he came off his orange KTM 990 Supermoto bike on the London-bound carriageway near Langham at about 6.10am on Monday.
He suffered suspected leg injuries during the incident, following which a white Toyota Hilux pick-up truck and a white Scania lorry collided with the bike.
Neither of the drivers were injured.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “The motorcyclist fell off his bike and two other vehciles came into collision when they tried to avoid it.
“The road was fully closed initially, but they managed to get one lane open by 7am.
“The motorcyclist was taken to hospital but he is not thought to have been seriously injured.”
Essex County Council's traffic information centre reported motorists were stuck in lengthy delays as queues stretched back as far as East Bergholt.
The road was reopened by 8.20am.
