If we want to get rid of dog mess on our pavements, beaches and promenades, we must get rid of some councillors.
They do not seem to care about our environment.
They do not introduce adequate by-laws to control dogs or their owners.
This attitude does not attract tourism or holidaymakers and does not make it safe for children to play on the beaches. Other councils have already extended beach bans and are introducing dog control orders.
The public are confused as to how to get local accountability.
My suggestion is to bring back councillors representing the larger political parties, such as the Conservatives, Labour or the Lib Dems.
At least then we would know who to vote for, or not. This would eliminate the current stranglehold at Tendring Council by some councillors from smaller parties, such as Tendring First.
