In any right-minded society, those who volunteer to serve their country in the Armed Forces should be properly recognised.

Serving personnel and veterans appreciate the massive support the British public has given us recently, but we have powerful and determined enemies who seek to undermine us and are destroying our morale.

It says much about our political masters’ values and morality that they are quick to support people whose irresponsible behaviour has brought the UK into serious financial difficulties.

Yet these same people show no tangible support (but lots of insincere words) for those who served their country for long periods and who were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

These are the same people who are making you pay heavily for those whose behaviour borders on economic treason.

The National Defence Medal campaign needs the support of the general public because we need people to speak out for us before it is too late to properly honour the many elderly veterans before they die.

And, you need to speak out to save yourselves in the longer term.

Remember: “And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.” Pastor Martin Niemoller 14/1/1892 – 6/3/1984.
