COLCHESTER Library is out of order for disabled readers.
The library, with a majority of facilities based on the first floor, only has one lift for customers.
It was broken for weeks at the end of 2010 and, after just a short period in service, the barriers are up again.
The lift is now expected to be out of action for many weeks again, with crucial parts due to come from abroad, meaning those in wheelchairs or others unable to use the stairs or narrow escalator will miss out.
