Land at the Hythe that could be developed
NEW plans have been put forward to build hundreds of homes at Colchester’s Hythe.
The “docklands development” would see five sites in total regenerated.
As well as homes, they would provide businesses and community facilities, and could incorprate everything from six-story blocks of flats to a new footbridge and bus-only lanes.
Lyn Barton, councillor responsible for regeneration, said: “We want to create a wonderful living environment.”
