A GREAT grandmother who was injured after a car overturned on the A12 at Marks Tey has died.
The 87-year-old, who is from the Colchester area, died at at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge this morning.
The woman had been with four other family members when the accident happened on Friday at 3.25pm.
She suffered multiple fractures and was flown by air ambulance to Addenbrokes Hospital.
The other people in the car - a grandmother, mum and her two children – were taken to Colchester General Hospital with minor injuries and later released.
One of the other women suffered a head injury and is now recovering at home.
