A MAN has appeared in court charged with aggravated burglary following an attack on a man at his home by a gang of four armed with batons.
Mark Figg, 29, was left with bruises to his upper body after being attacked in his home in Church Road, Tiptree, on December 19.
During the incident his Blackberry mobile telephone and £149 of cash were taken.
Daniel Baker, 23, of Coggeshall Road, Bradwell, appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today charged with aggravated burglary in relation to the incident.
He made no plea and was released on conditional bail to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on May 3.
