I am writing about what is going on at Colchester United Football Club.

No wonder the gates are diminishing, with a pair like manager John Ward and chairman Robbie Cowling running the show.

I was a 100 per cent committed supporter, but not any more. The club has lost its appeal to me and is fast going down the drain.

Mark my words, we will be lucky if we don’t get relegated this season. When have you seen us win a game 3-0 or 4-0.

I am fed up with Ward’s excuses.

There is a cold, unhomely atmosphere at the Community Stadium. It’s a horrible ground and feels like an outpost.

We know Layer Road was the pits, but at least we were a proper club then, and had passion and warmth.

I could carry on with what’s wrong with the club, but I, for one, will not be going back to watch them, while Ward remains in charge.

I would be interested to hear the views of other fans. I’d like to see Phil Parkinson come back.
