Monday’s front page Gazette headline was “Student pub crawl fears”.
Earlier this month it was reported Oxford and Cambridge students took part in their annual ski trip in the French Alps.
It is claimed they paraded around scantily clad, simulated sex acts and smeared food over each other. Very intelligent and educational!
Do students really need grants? Much is said about student debt, but how much of this is due to such indulgence?
Money spent on one night of indulgence would be some pensioner’s food allowance for the week.
With budget cuts, money spent on the necessary police patrols could well be better spent.
