PUPILS at a Colchester school stepped back to Tudor times for a day of special events.
Admin assistant at Parsons Heath Primary School, Marie Griggs, who became a peasant for the day, said: “It is an annual event. They study Henry VIII and his times as part of the curriculum.
“The teacher and classroom assistant played the Lord and Lady and the rest of us were peasants.
“The children do arts and crafts, learn to make perfumes and then we have a big banquet in the afternoon, with cheese, grapes, and drinking out of big goblets. The children absolutely love it.”
