A WOMAN suffered serious facial injuries after she was robbed by a gang in Clacton.
The woman was walking with a man through a car park off Colne Road when they were assaulted by a number of people around 8.30pm.
The man was uninjured.
The woman, 34, and from Clacton, suffered serious facial injuries and had her handbag snatched.
She was treated by paramedics at a nearby address later on in the evening of February 29 attack.
The woman went to hospital the next day where she was treated for her injuries but was later sent home.
Detectives are keen to speak to a woman with blonde hair who is thought to be a witness.
Four people from the local area were arrested in connection with the robbery.
Two men, aged 41 and 36, and two women, aged 39 and 31, are currently on police bail until Thursday April 5, pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information in connection with this robbery, especially the woman with the blonde hair, is urged to contact detectives at Clacton police station on 101.
