A TEENAGER who urinated and spread faeces in his prison cell must complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

Adam Fuller admitted two counts of criminal damage at Colchester Magistrates Court on Monday.

Fuller, 19, of Rogation Close, Stanway, was arrested on January 15 after smashing in the kitchen cupboard in his girlfriend Donna Bromley’s kitchen and punching a hole in a stud wall.

He was then put in a police holding cell at Colchester police station, where he urinated and spread faeces on the walls.

Roger Brice, mitigating, said when Fuller told officers he had previously self-harmed, they insisted he wore a protective suit, before later forcibly removing it from him, leaving him naked in his cell.

He said: “If he was upset before, when he was arrested, he is more than upset at this stage.”

Officers then saw the part-time Colchester Institute student’s actions on CCTV before he ripped it from the wall.

Magistrates sentenced him to 100 hours unpaid work for each offence, to run concurrently over the next 12 months.

He was also fined £100, including £25 compensation to Miss Bromley and £75 to Essex Police.
