A MAN has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed and robbed in the street.
Police are appealing for information after a 20-year-old man from east London was attacked in Hickory Avenue, Greenstead, at about midday today.
He was near the junction with Blackthorn Avenue when he was robbed and received a puncture wound to his stomach and leg and was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police are looking for two black men who stole the victim's Blackberry phone and a bag containing personal possessions before one of them stabbed him.
Any witnesses or anyone who saw where the robbers went after the attack call Det Sgt Gary Robinson from the serious crime team at Colchester police station on 101.
