ORGANISERS of Mersea Island’s Cosmic Puffin music festival say the public must do their bit to make it a success.
Numbers were down at last year’s festival. Joint organiser Rusty Russell, pictured, said: “We struggled because of when we had to hold it, with all the bank holidays coming at once. We have to give it a real push this year.
“This is make-or-break. If people don’t support us, this could be the last year.”
The event, at Mersea Youth Camp, in Rewsalls Lane, between May 4 and May 6, will have four stages, hosting 40 bands as well as a healing area, children’s tent and open mic.
Tickets, costing £45 for adults and £15 for 12 to 19-year-olds, are available from cosmicpuffin.org.uk Children under 11 go free.
