Three cars have been involved in crashes on the A120 near Great Bromley.
A red Mini is in a ditch next to the Colchester-bound carriageway, and the Clacton-bound carriageway is also blocked due to an incident.
Emergency services are currently on the scene.
There has also been a crash on eastbound A120 interchange with the A133 near Ardleigh, causing delays.
