A DATE has been set for the final of a talent contest being held to raise money for a young Maldon girl with cerebral palsy.
Izzy Kuta, five, of Fitches Crescent, was diagnosed with the condition, which has impacted on her mobility, after complications at birth.
Her family launched a fundraising drive last March to pay for a £24,500 operation called selective dorsal rhizotomy that could enable her to walk unaided.
The latest fundraising event, a talent contest, will conclude at The Boswells School, in Chelmsford. on May 5 from 7pm.
It follows earlier auditions at both that school and Plume School, in Maldon.
Tickets, priced at £3 for children and £6 for adults, are available by calling 07999 455957 or 07875 647662.
