FIREMEN have thrown their support behind ladies blazing a trail at a charity walk.
Colchester firefighters met with organisers of St Helena Hospice’s Midnight Walk, which is due to take place on Saturday, June 9.
Crew from the station on Cowdray Avenue will be cheering on walkers and are displaying an enormous banner encouraging ladies to sign up for the event.
Some of them have also offered to volunteer as stewards.
The 12km walk will start at the stroke of midnight at the Weston Homes Community Stadium and will see up to 2,000 women come together for a night of fun and fundraising.
Registration for the Midnight Walk costs £15.
To register go to www.colchestermidnightwalk.co.uk or call 01206 791740.
