IN TODAY'S GAZETTE: CAMPAIGNERS are calling on the public to raise £500,000 to reveal Colchester's historic priory.
The group want to buy up a row of shops and offices, which are on the market, and knock them down so St Botolph's Priory can be better viewed.
* X Factor bosses are to send a mobile audition van to Colchester to seek out new talent.
The town has been a rich vein of talent with stars Olly Murs and Matt Cardle coming from the north Essex area.
* Plans have been unveiled for a second campus for a Colchester primary school - creating 330 new places.
* Conservative MP Bernard Jenkin has launched a stinging attack on the Government accusing it of having "apple pie" strategies which are unrealistic and unsustainable.
