A TWISTER has rocked a north Essex hamlet sweeping away road signs and trees.
Shocked residents of Whiteash Green, near Halstead, were astounded to see the 20 metre tornado travel the length of their hamlet before disappearing at around 4.45pm Wednesday.
Trees and power lines were torn down with roofs ripped off barns.
No one is thought to have been injured in the incident.
