ONE of the country's most notorious killers has lost his bid to have his case refered to the Court of Appeal.

Jeremy Bamber, who was convicted of killing five members of his family, had presented new evidence to the Criminal Cases Review Commission in the hopes of winning a third appeal.

But yesterday, the commission rejected the application in a 109-page judgement.

Bamber, who is 51 and is serving life at Full Sutton prison, said he was devastated by the decision.
