A MAN arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed until June.
Police were called to Porter’s Lane in Fordham Heath at around 8pm on Wednesday after reports a man had been stabbed.
They arrived to find a man, 23, had suffered “serious” injuries to his upper body.
The victim, from Colchester, is believed to have been injured in the lane, which leads to a farm, but was able to stagger to a neighbouring house to raise the alarm.
He is now in a stable condition.
A 32-year-old man from London was arrested and is now on police bail while the investigation continues.
Anyone with information call the serious crime team in Colchester on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
