A TEACHER has taken home a top-of-the-range iPad after showing off her green credentials.
Louise Woods, a teacher at Hazelmere Infants School, in Greenstead, won the iPad3 after winning a competition organised as part of the Loveurcarcolchester campaign.
The Colchester Council air quality team, funded by Defra, is encouraging people to save money by “greener” driving, including car sharing and using alternative modes of transport.
Mrs Woods won the prize after watching a video of people car sharing and answering a question about the film. She said: “I was shocked and thrilled when I heard I had won.
“I regularly car share with members of my family and my partner to work, so I think this campaign is a great idea.
“It saves us money with petrol costs being so high, so I would recommend it to anyone.”
