SEVEN teenagers from Colchester suspected of being involved in a brawl in Essex have been released without charge.
Nine months after they were all arrested following a disturbance, and after being repeatedly re-bailed, the police have decided to take no further action.
Police were called to Leighams Road, East Hanningfield, following reports of a large disturbance in the early hours of the morning last July.
It is believed the post-GCSE bash was gatecrashed and a massive fight broke out.
Three youngsters needed hospital treatment for facial injuries.
Essex Police’s helicopter was called to search for some of the troublemakers, who had fled the scene when officers arrived.
Nine people were originally arrested including seven from Colchester.
