THE family of a man who dedicated years to helping people with mental health problems in north Essex say they wish he had sought help for his own problems.
Harry Young, 56, died after taking a drug overdose and yesterday a coroner recorded a verdict of suicide.
Mr Young was working as an elected governor at the North Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust when he died.
Renate Young, Mr Young’s mother, said: “He was working really hard to try to help other people with mental health problems but he was not able to help himself."
