THE V Bar, in Colchester, is hosting a very special bank holiday music event on Sunday.

Mayday Mayhem is raising money for the Robin Cancer Trust, which was set up by the family of 24-year-old Robin Freeman, who died of cancer last December.

It will feature a number of local acts, including Polly Haynes, from Newton’s Apple, Sam Ryder, from the Morning After, Station and Pistols and Vultures.

There will be nine sets in all, starting from 2pm and ending at 3am.
