A STUDENT was robbed after he had just completed an exam.
The attack happened when the victim, 16, was walking along Marine Parade East, Clacton, with two friends.
A gang of three older boys approached them. One held the victim in a headlock while his accomplices took a mobile telephone from his pocket.
The robbery took place shortly after midday on Tuesday.
Investigating Officer, Dc Dan Jefferies, said: "This boy had sat a GCSE exam in the morning and was walking along the seafront with friends to relax when he was accosted by these three young men. It was the middle of the day when the weather was warm so the seafront would have been busy. We’re pretty confident somebody would have seen this robbery. We urge them to contact us.”
The assailants are described as white, with two boys approximately six foot tall and the third considerably smaller. All three were wearing all-colour clothing, one white, one grey and one dark.
Anyone with information in connection with this robbery is urged to contact detectives at Clacton police station on 101.
