DETECTIVES have released the image of a man wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Fordham Heath.
The E-Fit has been released after a 23-year-old man who lives nearby was stabbed by two black men in a Volkswagen Golf in Porters Lane.
The computer generated image is of a black man, around 25-30 years old, of medium build, around 5’11” tall, with short black hair and a beard.
The other suspect is black, around 24-25 years old, slim to medium build, around 5’10” tall, with black shoulder length dreadlocks.
Police originally arrested a 32-year-old man from London on suspicion of the stabbing.
He was repeatedly re-bailed and has now been released without charge.
On April 25 a man was stabbed with scissors and received serious injuries during the second attack in the quiet lane in two years.
Police were called at about 8pm but were unable to find a weapon.
Detectives are again appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, recognises the suspect from the e-fit, or who saw any suspicious behaviour in the Porters Lane area of Colchester on that evening to call Colchester police on 101.
