A HIP-HOP fan is hosting freestyle rap battles, in the style of Eminem movie 8-Mile.
Victor Booty, 29, said there is a huge untapped, underground fanbase for rap music in the Colchester area.
The Old Heath resident has started putting on rap battles at Curve Bar in East Hill.
He said: “You wouldn’t believe the amount of MCs in this area.
Anyone wanting to take part in the battles just has to turn up on the night.
The next event is tonight at 8.30pm.
