A HOMEOWNER who came face-to-face with a burglar in his house is trying to help police catch him.
The Colchester resident confronted a man after he climbed through an unlocked kitchen window.
The owner challenged the unwanted intruder ordering him to leave and the man ran away.
Police are appealing for information following the attempted raid between 6pm and 7pm on Sunday, July 8, in Gilberd Road, Colchester.
Detectives are hoping somebody will recognise the e-fit description given by the owner.
The unwanted visitor is white, aged in his early 20s, approximately 5ft 5ins tall and has short, blonde hair.
Anyone with information call detectives at Colchester police station on 101.
