POLICE are still hunting hit-and-run boyracers who ran over a village fete marshall breaking both his legs.
Two cars were racing along Great Tey Road, heading towards the A120, at around 5pm on Saturday when they struck each other.
One careered into Graham Argyle, 59, who was marshalling the annual Great and Little Tey church fete.
The other smashed through a fence, hedge and iron gate at The Old Rectory, which has hosted the summer fete for 29 years.
Four men abandoned the cars and fled the scene.
Police later arrested a 22-year-old man, from Dublin, after sniffer dogs found him hiding in a near-by tree.
The cars narrowly missed Mr Argyle’s daughter, Lucy, 16, who was marshalling the opposite side of the narrow country lane and saw the car plough into her father.
