ONLINE blogs by children at Old Heath Community Primary School in Colchester are proving a hit.
The school launched two websites to show off children’s work and to keep parents updated on their successes.
They were amazed to discover they have attracted hundreds of followers from across the world.
Headteacher Jeremy Hallam said: “Children show me their work every day, but their parents and grandparents don’t get to see it. We had an idea to start up a blog and see where we went with it.
“I never thought we would get the figures we did. We have somehow stumbled across a global audience.”
Followers from America, Australia, Switzerland, Canada and Thailand have all looked at the sites, which have notched up more than 15,000 views.
