PLANS to build a second campus for a primary school have been delayed.
Essex County Council, which wants to build the new £4million campus for St John’s Green Primary School, had hoped to submit the plans at the start of the summer, but now plans to hand them over by the end of the month.
The new two-storey building, at Abbey Field, off Circular Road, will make room for 330 extra pupils, taking the school’s roll from 210 to 540.
It is hoped building will start in February, with the school being open by spring 2014.
