AN abusive train passenger has been arrested at Colchester’s North Station. The 30-year-old man from London was arrested for a public order offence and resisting arrest at around 1.55pm on Thursday. He was caught by train staff travelling without a ticket on the 1pm service from Norwich to Liverpool Street when he became abusive. Five police cars and a van from British Transport Police (BTP) attended North Station. A BTP spokesman said: “Officers were called to Colchester North station following a report of an abusive passenger on-board a train. “The man was removed from the 1pm Norwich to Liverpool Street service and arrested for a public order offence and resisting arrest. “He was taken into custody where he remains helping officers with their enquiries.” The man was taken to Colchester police station for questioning.
