RADIO presenters are broadcasting for 24 hours from a community station tomorrow to raise money for charity.
Joe Newell and Justin Fairweather will go live on air on Radio Wivenhoe from 8am and fill the airwaves until 8am tomorrow morning.
The studio co-managers are raising cash for Brain Tumour UK after a friend’s daughter died of the condition five years ago.
Joe, 45, and Justin, 41, hope listeners will call in to the studio and make a dedication or song request, in return for a donation.
Joe said: “We are looking forward to it but it will be difficult. The first 12 hours will be OK and we have various people popping to make sure we are topped up with food and so on, but it will be tough after that.”
The station, which usually broadcasts between 7am and 11pm, is also looking for budding presenters and producers to join their team of 35 volunteers.
