A SCHOOL has been raided for a third time in a year by burglars.
Millfields Primary School in Bowes Road, Wivenhoe, was targeted on Wednesday, at 12.30am.
Crooks smashed through several doors and stole five laptops. They could not take computers stored in a specially designed LapSafe trolley, donated to them by a firm in Wakes Colne.
Anita Sparrow, business manager at the school, said: “We’re incredibly disappointed we’ve been targeted for a third time. They used a sledgehammer, or an axe, to get through three doors.”
Raiders also broke in on September 5 last year and stole 34 laptops. These were replaced, but the new ones were stolen on October 24 last year.
Nobody has been caught for any of the raids.
Anyone with information can call Colchester police on 101.
