POLICE descended on a seaside town for a day of action.
Officers conducted high visibility patrols in Clacton throughout Saturday and, for the first time, into the night too.
Revellers entering clubs and pubs were searched for knives while shops with alcohol licences were tested to make sure they weren't selling to people underage.
Sergeant Andy McFarlane said the day of action was a success.
