I had my first Covid jab in December last year and my second three months later in March.
At the moment, in September, I am seven days into a Covid infection and I can say that I have had better days.
I must also say that without those injections, I would have have had a lot of worse days with the possibility of a meeting with the grim reaper.
Plainly then, even being fully vaccinated is certainly no guarantee against future infection.
So folks, those of you who are fully jabbed and anticipate taking part in large gatherings, going on holiday at home or away in another country, please be well aware.
Catching this horrible infection is still very much a possibility, so take every precaution possible.

And to those who have avoided vaccination, for what ever reason, I say “Get your skates on” and get them done because this infection ain’t nice.
During the war years and during the blackout, the air raid wardens used to shout put that light out.
This infection can snuff our lights and put us through a lot of suffering in the process.
