Freddie Ladapo scored twice as Colchester United’s under-21s thrashed their Queens Park Rangers counterparts 4-0.
Rangers, who have finished third in Professional Development League Two, were soundly beaten by a rampant Colchester side at Florence Park.
It gave the U’s suitable revenge for their 8-2 defeat by a vastly experienced QPR side, last December.
And it proved another profitable afternoon for defender Tom Eastman, who scored and played for more than an hour as he continued his comeback from an ankle injury.
See Tuesday's Gazette for reaction to the U's under-21s' big win over QPR.
