Colchester United's season will go down to the wire after they played out a drab 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury Town this afternoon.
The U's struggled to make any inroads against an organised Town side, in front of the highest crowd of the season at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
The result means that Colchester make the long trip up to Carlisle United for their final game of the season next weekend just three points above the relegation zone, following Scunthorpe United's surprise 1-0 win at MK Dons.
Chances were few and far between, although George Porter and Jabo Ibehre went close in the first half for Colchester.
U's keeper Sam Walker made a fine save to deny David McAllister in the second half, as the spoils were shared.
