TENDRING Volleyball Club's women's team have been crowned National Shield winners.
They beat Loughborough Students in a dramatic five-set showdown at the National Volleyball Centre, in Kettering.
Frinton-based Tendring won the first set 25-22 but then lost the next two 25-18 and 25-15.
They got back on level terms by winning a thrilling fourth set 26-24.
And Nick Davies' team held their nerve in the winner-takes-all fifth set, roaring home 15-9.
