Jabo Ibehre is hoping to be Colchester United’s lucky omen at Carlisle United and save them from relegation.
The U’s need a point in Cumbria on the final day of the season, in order to be sure of staying in League One.
Joint leading goalscorer Ibehre knows Brunton Park well, having played there ten times during his career.
And having twice scored a winning goal at the venue, the experienced striker is hoping for more success in the U’s make-or-break clash this weekend.
Ibehre said: “I’ve had some good results up at Carlisle over the years.
“I scored a 90th-minute goal there with Leyton Orient a few years ago and we won 1-0.
“If we’d lost that game, we would have dropped into the relegation zone.
“After that, we pulled away and had a fantastic run.
“And last year, I went up there with MK Dons and won 3-1.
“I’ve had a decent time up there during my career but it’s a tough place to go."
