Breathe a huge sigh of relief - Colchester United’s League One status is safe.
It went down to the final day but their season ended in smiles rather than sadness at Carlisle United.
Some might argue that avoiding relegation is not exactly something that should be celebrated.
But try telling that to the U’s players, staff and supporters who rejoiced together as one outside Brunton Park, having collectively experienced the ups and downs of a turbulent season.
Who can begrudge their happiness, given all that they have been through this season?
Colchester deserve any positivity that comes their way.
But once the dust has settled on their final-day win and its implications, it is vital they look to the future.
Lessons must be learned but everything is in place off the field for the U’s to avoid another year of toil and struggle.
Joe Dunne, who has experienced such an eventual introduction to management since taking over from John Ward as Colchester manager last September, will spend some time with his family over the next few weeks.
It is well-earned, for his dedication has been one of the main hallmarks of his reign at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Indeed, Dunne’s boundless enthusiasm even prompted his chairman Robbie Cowling to describe the Irishman as the most hard-working manager he has employed during his time at the U’s.
But Dunne has already begun planning for a summer where he will further stamp his mark on his squad.
In addition to sorting out contracts for the likes of John White, he will no doubt be keen to do all he can to persuade their young loanees such as Sam Walker, George Porter and Billy Clifford to remain at the football club.
And Dunne’s vast knowledge of players at all levels will help him assemble a side capable of competing in the division.
He deserves his chance now to help restore Colchester as a stable League One club, who rather than glancing nervously over their shoulder at what is below them can now look confidently upwards all the stronger for the experience they have gained.
